Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Overview

Islamabad Club invites applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Club seeks a qualified and strategic professional to lead its finance function, safeguard financial integrity, and provide the insight that supports sound decisions and the Club's long-term financial sustainability.

Job Description

The CFO will be responsible for:

  • Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and the overall financial strategy of the Club.

  • Ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and laws.

  • Managing member billing, subscriptions, receivables, and recovery of outstanding dues.

  • Managing cash flow, treasury, investments of Club funds, and banking relationships.

  • Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls over F&B, rooms, stores, sports, and event revenues; liaising with external auditors and the Head of Internal Audit.

  • Ensuring full tax compliance (income tax, sales tax on services, withholding) and all statutory filings.

  • Providing financial analysis and MIS reports to the CEO, Finance Committee, and Board, including departmental profitability and costing.

  • Leading, developing, and supervising the Finance & Accounts team.

Education

  • Mandatory: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, ACMA, or CPA.

  • Additional Advantage: MBA (Finance) from an HEC-recognized university, in addition to the above.

Experience

  • Minimum: 12 years of post-qualification experience, of which at least 5 years as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance.

  • Preferred: Experience in hospitality, a members' club, or a not-for-profit organization.

  • Required: Working experience with ERP/hospitality accounting systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Opera, or similar).

Terms of Contract

  • Appointment will be on a contract basis for a period of 3 years.

  • The contract may be extended for a further 2 years subject to satisfactory performance.

  • The position is purely contractual and not regularizable; the appointee shall have no claim to regularization or permanent employment.
