Job Opportunity for the Post of Chief Executive Officer

Company: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO)
Location: 22-A Queens Road, Lahore

Core Responsibilities:

The CEO will report to the Board of Directors of LESCO and will be responsible for aligning company activities with the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) and ensuring the fulfillment of corporate objectives. Key duties include:

  • Managing the operations of the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) in compliance with the approved procedures and policies.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective performance, with adherence to directives from the Board of Directors.
  • Safeguarding company assets, maintaining operational transparency, and achieving the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and industry standards.

Desired Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of the power distribution industry, with knowledge of technical advancements and operational requirements.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to define and execute strategic initiatives that drive company growth.
  • Leadership: Strong decision-making capabilities, fostering a positive corporate culture, and leading teams effectively.
  • Business Acumen: Solid grasp of business management, compliance with NEPRA regulations, and maintaining corporate integrity.
  • Ethical Standards: Ability to promote a strong ethical framework and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A graduate degree is required, preferably in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Proven experience in senior management roles, particularly in power distribution or related sectors.

Salary, Age, and Contract Period:

  • Competitive salary package based on market standards.
  • The appointment will be subject to performance evaluations by the Board of Directors, in line with the Performance Agreement with the Ministry of Energy.
