Job Opportunity: Chief Human Resource & Career Planning Officer (CHR&CPO)

Location: Lahore, covering LESCO’s service area including Lahore, Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana.
Contract Type: Purely contractual, non-pensionable, initial period 3 years, extendable based on performance.
Age Limit: Up to 57 years


Organization Overview

LESCO operates a power distribution network and supplies electricity to over 6.88 million consumers. The organization is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to strategically lead the Human Resource function, contribute to HR business strategy, and provide HR advisory and thought leadership on organizational initiatives.


Position Overview – CHR&CPO

The CHR&CPO will:

  • Strategically lead and direct LESCO’s HR function.

  • Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with organizational goals.

  • Provide HR advisory services and thought leadership to LESCO on major initiatives.

  • Lead talent management, succession planning, and change management.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze strategic HR requirements based on organizational vision, CEO directives, and Board guidance.

  2. Scrutinize the organization’s objectives and growth plans to align HR strategy.

  3. Formulate 3-year HR strategy and framework based on business requirements and growth plans.

  4. Present and discuss HR concepts with CEO/management.

  5. Outline roadmap and structural requirements for HR strategy implementation.

  6. Define modifications in internal HR operating model for efficient strategy execution.

  7. Oversee HR executive manpower planning and training needs analysis.

  8. Conceptualize executive talent management process and succession planning framework.

  9. Operationalize strategic HR design and steer change/transition management.

  10. Review HR frameworks, validate alignment with internal and external factors, and update strategy accordingly.


Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Management Sciences, preferably Human Resources or a related field, from HEC-recognized local/foreign university.

  • Certifications/Courses in HR from reputable national/international institutions are a strong plus.

  • Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years at a senior-level position in a large private or government sector organization.


Remuneration & Contract Period

  • Salary: Market-based, competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience, decided by LESCO Board of Directors (BOD).

  • Initial Contract: 3 years, extendable on satisfactory performance with annual evaluation against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  3. Candidates from Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous organizations must apply through proper channel with NOC.
