Pakistan Railways invites applications from male citizens of Pakistan to fill the following vacancies on a purely contract basis.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

a)

  • Matric (Second Division) with Science, and

  • 03 years DAE (Second Division) in any of the following disciplines:

    • Mechanical

    • Electrical

    • Electronics

    • Information Technology

    • Automobile

OR

b)

  • F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) Second Division, along with

  • Three (3) months computer course from any recognized institute

OR

c)

  • Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS) in Second Division

Age Limit

  • 18 to 25 years on the closing date of application

  • 05 years general age relaxation is admissible

Additional Age Relaxation

  1. Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh (Rural), Balochistan, recognized tribes of Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir, and Northern Areas:

    • Additional 03 years, over and above general relaxation

  2. Ex-Servicemen:

    • Up to 15 years or the number of years actually served in Armed Forces (whichever is less)

  3. Government Servants / Contract Employees:

    • 10 years relaxation after completing 2 years of continuous service (up to age 55)

  4. Children of Deceased Civil Servants (died during service):

    • 05 years additional relaxation

  5. Only one category of age relaxation will be admissible if a candidate qualifies under multiple categories.

Instructions for Candidates

  1. Departmental candidates must apply through proper channel with NOC.

  2. Applications containing incorrect or false information will be rejected.

  3. Candidates whose final transcripts have not been issued are not eligible.

  4. No TA/DA will be admissible for test or interview.

Selected candidates will be required to:

  • Pass the prescribed medical examination

  • Obtain security clearance from relevant agencies

  • Successfully complete the required training

?? If any document is found fake or bogus at any stage, the appointment shall be cancelled immediately.

Quota Allocation

The following quotas will be observed:

  • 60% Open Merit

  • 5% Minorities / Non-Muslims

  • 5% Orphans (NADRA death certificate of father is mandatory)

  • 10% Ex-Servicemen (certificate required)

  • 20% Sons of Railway Employees, including

    • 2% reserved for sons of deceased Railway employees
      (Railway service cards are mandatory)

Selection Criteria

  • 70% Written Test

  • 30% Interview

Important Notes

  1. The Competent Authority reserves the right to reject any application without assigning a reason and to change the number or distribution of vacancies.

  2. Applications must be submitted through the National Job Portal (NJP):
    www.njp.gov.pk
    within 20 days of publication of this advertisement.

  3. A processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- per application must be deposited at:

    • C.C.T Cash Office, Lahore

    • All Station Masters and Booking Offices of Pakistan Railways

    • The Miscellaneous Receipt (M.R) must be uploaded with the online application.
