According to the US computer security company, recently WhatsApp has mended an issue that left almost 200 million users of whatsapp at risk to being hacked by tiling the booby-trapped digital cards for getting contact details.

Facebook-owned messaging application WhatsApp possesses over 900 million consumers, while almost 200 million users of them are those who access this service on computer browser software that represents the activity from mobile devices.

The bug in the web version of WhatsApp made it quite easy for the hackers to withhold the mean code in seemingly innocent "vCards" that contains the contact information.

As per an online declaration from check point computer Security Company, opening the contaminated cards permitted the viruses to infect the PC, and may be it permits the hackers to giveaway control or information.

The hackers will only require a smartphone number of their target and for the person to open the "vCard."

Check Point moreover claims that it revealed this weakness to WhatsApp last month and that a revised version of the application was issued.
