Karachi: The registrar of University of Karachi (KU) Dr Munawwar Rasheed announced the entry test-based online admissions in the undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs (morning), doctorate of pharmacy (morning as well as evening programmes), doctorate of physical therapy (morning programme) as well as the visual studies department for the academic session 2018.

For the very first time in the history of Karachi University, an online system for the admissions has been introduced.

The aspirants can get the admission details, online admission forms, prospectus as well as the application submission guidelines from the official website of “www.uokadmission.edu.pk” till November 24th, 2017.

In the undergraduate degree programme, the admissions will be given in the following departments

o   Applied physics

o   Biotechnology

o   Business administration

o   Chemical engineering

o   Commerce

o   Computer science

o   Economics

o   Education

o   English

o   Environmental Studies

o   Food science and technology

o   International relations

o   Mass communication

o   Mathematics

o   Microbiology

o   Public administration

o   Special education

o   Teacher education

In the postgraduate degree programs, the admissions will be given in the following departments.

o   Business administration

o   Commerce

o   Economics

o   Education

o   English

o   Environmental studies

o   Mass communication

o   Microbiology

o   Public administration

o   Public policy

o   Teacher education

 To get admission in the doctor of pharmacy and doctor of physical therapy programmes, 60 percent or more than 60 percent marks is necessary in HSSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent exams.

In the visual studies department, the admissions will be given to the students 4 years bachelors of design porgramme, four-year bachelors of fine arts degree programme as well as five year bachelor of architecture degree programme.

The vice chancellor of University of Karachi, Professor Dr Muhamamd Ajmal Khan said that “we are trying our best to facilitate our aspirants”.

He furthermore added the online admission system will save the applicants from any sort of inconvenience and also from standing in the long queues.

The vice chancellor also added that “Very soon, an online system will also be introduced in the departments as well as the functions of the university, which will facilitate the aspirants, faculty as well as the management.”
