Karachi: University of Karachi (KU) has cancelled 18 admissions in different disciplines in morning as well as evening programmes over the submission of fake mark sheets of the candidates.

As per the Director Admissions of University of Karachi, Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi, on verification from the BIEK, the mark sheets of 18 students who were granted admissions in 2017 morning and evening programmes have been found fake, and according to the rules and regulations of the university, their 0

He further stated that in the morning programme, the admissions of Syed Muhammad Wasif Ali in computer science department, Muhammad Aqib Iqbal in chemistry department, Muhammad Bilal and Syed Jahanzaib Ali in criminology department, Muhammad Naveed and Faizan Asghar in geology department, Sheeza Iffat in ISPA department, Yamna Khan in marine sciences department, Hafiza Yemna Yaseen in physics depratment, Samiya Babar in physiology department and also Duaa Tariq in women’s studies department had been cancelled.

Dr Iraqi furthermore added that in the evening programme, the admissions of Syed Waleed Ahmed and Ameem Bin Mohiuddin in public administration department, Himat Ali in computer science department, Muhammad Mubashir Hasan in criminology department, Farrukh Muhammad Nasir in food science and technology department, Saeed Ahmed Mughal in ISPA department and Muhammad Faheel Siddiqui in mass communication department had been cancelled with the instant effect.
