UHS Announces To Review The Schedule of MBBS and BDS Exams in January

Earlier the University of Health Sciences had announced the date sheet of the MBBS and BDS exams. A notification was issued stated that the papers of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, General Pathology & Microbiology, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, and Behavioral Sciences exams would take place on 13, 16, 20, and 23 January 2021, respectively. While the BDS papers of General Medicine, Oral Pathology, General Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Periodontology will be conducted on 14, 18, 21, 25, and 28 January 2021, respectively. UHS declared that the exams would be commenced according to the prescribed SOPs for COVID-19. After the issuance of the date sheet, many students were angry and they took Twitter to express their concerns. #DelayAllProffsUHS was trending on Twitter at number 1 in Pakistan.

University of health sciences has proclaimed to review the announced schedule of MBBS and BDS exams in January. The exams might be delayed after reviewing the situation of coronavirus in the country. However, no decision about the postponement of the exams has been taken yet by the authorities. The students are recommended to prepare for the upcoming exams as per the provided schedule. UHS has also directed the students to follow the coronavirus guidelines announced by the government about the classes and the examinations.  

MBBS and BDS Exams

According to the previous schedule the exams of MBBS and BDS were scheduled to be commenced in December. But the decision about the closure of institutes was taken in the meeting of the National Command and Operation Center and all exams got postponed. The education minister further informed that the professional exams will be held as per the schedule. Now the decision of the UHS to conduct the exams in January has not to be finalized and the students are demanding to postpone the exams owing to the current situation of a pandemic.
