In a major development for thousands of students across the province, all educational boards under the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) have officially unveiled the complete academic calendar for the year 2026. The newly released schedule covers annual and supplementary examinations, result declaration dates, and fee submission deadlines for both Matric (9th & 10th) and Intermediate (11th & 12th) levels .
The timely announcement aims to help students, parents, and educational institutions plan effectively for the upcoming examination cycle. With over 1.5 million students enrolled in Punjab’s affiliated schools and colleges, this schedule brings much-needed clarity and structure to the academic year 2026.
According to the official notification, the much-anticipated Matric (10th class) annual result 2026 will be declared on August 6, 2026 . Students who appeared in the secondary school certificate examinations can check their marksheets online via respective board websites, including BISE Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
For 9th class students, the result will follow nearly a month later, scheduled for September 2, 2026 . This staggered result announcement allows boards to manage the vast volume of answer scripts efficiently while maintaining transparency and accuracy.
For students who wish to improve their grades or failed to clear one or more subjects, the Punjab Boards have set a clear timeline for the Matric supplementary (improvement) examinations 2026. These second-annual exams will commence on October 6, 2026 .
To ensure a smooth admission process, the boards have introduced a tiered fee structure:
Single Fee: Submit admission forms from August 7 to August 19, 2026
Double Fee: Submit admission forms from August 20 to August 25, 2026
Triple Fee: Submit admission forms from August 26 to August 29, 2026
Students are strongly advised to complete their applications within the single-fee window to avoid financial penalties. The results of the Matric supplementary exams will be officially announced on December 8, 2026 , allowing successful candidates to apply for higher education or vocational training in the same academic year.
The schedule for intermediate students (Grades 11 and 12) is equally detailed. The annual Intermediate (FA/FSc) examinations 2026 are set to begin on May 20, 2026 . These exams will cover all major groups, including Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Humanities, Computer Science, and Commerce.
Result announcements for intermediate classes will follow a two-phase pattern:
2nd Year (12th Class) Result: September 23, 2026
1st Year (11th Class) Result: October 22, 2026
The gap between the two results allows board officials to prioritize checking of 12th class papers, which are critical for university admissions.
Students who do not achieve desired marks in the annual intermediate exams can appear in the supplementary round. The Intermediate supplementary exams 2026 will start on November 3, 2026 . Admission form submission deadlines are as follows:
Single Fee: September 24 to October 6, 2026
Double Fee: October 7 to October 13, 2026
Triple Fee: October 14 to October 17, 2026
Importantly, due to the examination schedule crossing over into the new year, the results for Intermediate supplementary exams will be announced on January 12, 2027 . This ensures that students receive their transcripts in time for spring university admissions.
All nine educational boards in Punjab will activate dedicated result portals on the announced dates. Students can access their results by visiting their respective BISE website (e.g., biserwp.edu.pk for Rawalpindi, bisemultan.edu.pk for Multan) and entering their roll number. Results will also be available via SMS and through official mobile applications.

Education experts have welcomed the early release of the 2026 schedule. “This is a student-friendly move. Knowing exact dates for exams, results, and supplementary windows reduces anxiety and helps in better preparation,” said Prof. Akhtar Malik, a retired BISE controller. He advised students to strictly follow the fee deadlines and avoid last-minute submissions, which often lead to technical issues.
