Punjab University has announced to hold the online exams for BS/MS/MPhil degree programs. The meeting of Deans and Heads of Teaching departments was held on 5th January and the meeting of Dean’s committee was held on the 20th January 2021 in which the decision was made to shift the physical exams to the online mode. As per the university officials, the final examinations of each semester will be only conducted online. Because of the prolonged closure of the educational institutes the schedule of academics and exams already got disturbed and by considering the ongoing situation of COVID-19 many institutes have been shifted to the online education system by allowing the students to continue their studies without having any problem. So in the current situation, the University of Punjab also declared to take the online exams of the students so that the students can be promoted to the next semester by assessing their performance in the exams.
Closure of Educational Institutes
After the meeting of the national command and operation center, it had been directed to close all the schools, colleges, and universities due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier the review session of the provincial education ministers was held in which federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood had declared to reopen the primary schools and universities from 1st February 2021.
Admission Schedule of Associate Degree
Previously the Punjab University had issued the submission schedule for the admission in the associate degree in arts and science and the special categories. The candidates are required to follow the provided schedule in order to submit the admission form and fee. With the single fee, the last date of submission is 29th January 2021 and with the double fee, the deadline for submission of the admission form is 10th January 2021. After the due date, the admission forms will not be entertained by the university officials.
