Lahore: A split PhD scholarship programme will be offered to the faculty members of universities and colleges across the province, who would be able to chase their PhDs from the top educational institutes of the world.
The programme was launched by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and through a pilot project it would initially offer 6 scholarships to the faculty members of the Punjab University Institute of Social and Cultural Studies.

The chairman of Punjab higher education commission Dr Nizamuddin said that the MoU was associated with the pilot Split PhD Scholarship Programme offered for extending the opportunities of higher learning as well as research to the faculty of government sector varsities as well as colleges.
He further added that this programme will also provide a golden chance for the talented teachers to polish their research abilities and get international experience.
