Punjab Health Minister Warns That Schools May Close Again If Corona SOPs Will Not Be Implemented

According to the decision taken by the government of Punjab, the educational institutes are opening in phases. From January 18th, 2021 matric and intermediate level education system has now been resumed. However, students of nursery primary and middle level will also be called to attend the classes from the last week of January. While talking to the media the Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid clarified that schools from across the country may also be closed again if Corona SOPs will not be implemented in the schools. 

Dr. lamented on the Punjab province especially in Lahore city where the Corona cases are increasing because Lahore city is the busiest city and there are many activities are performing there daily. 

Closure Of Schools From Across The Country

After finding the first wave of the Coronavirus in Pakistan, almost all the activities including educational activities were completely halted in Pakistan from March 2020. Educational institutes had gone through the closure of a long hiatus. However, in September the educational institutes were resumed again. But, unfortunately, due to the increasing number of Corona cases throughout the country, the educational institutes were closed again. Well, after reviewing all the situation the government of Pakistan has decided to reopen the schools, colleges, universities, and all other institutes from January. 

Moreover, through her tweet, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that Pakistan is trying to bring the Corona vaccine soon. She said that all the measures have now been doing to ensure vaccine availability in Pakistan.
