Lahore: BA/BSc composite annual exams 2017 as well as BA/BSc Part-I and II annual exams 2017 started under the supervision of University of the Punjab on Wednesday across the province.

On the first day of exam, the minister of Punjab Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani, the secretary of Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) Captain (R) Nasim Nawaz as well as the vice chancellor of University of the Punjab Prof Dr Zaffar Mueen Nasir visited an examination centre set up at Wahdat Road.

The investigation team of Punjab University nabbed an impressionist from the examination centre. Abdul Rahman was taking the English exam in place of another candidate named Ali Haider Shah.

The culprit was handed over to police over the charge of utilizing unfair means during exam.

Almost 2.27 million aspirants are taking BA/BSc annual exams 2017 this year. Over 1.61 million are female whereas 65,605 students are male.

Almost 843 examination centers have been established for the BA/BSc exams.

Dr Zaffar also paid visit to different examination centres to check the arrangements for BA/BSc exams 2017.

The controller of Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, additional controllers Muhammad Rauf Nawaz as well as Raja Shahid Javed were also present there.

The vice chancellor of university spoke to teachers, students as well as parents about the arrangements for smoothly conducting the examinations and also advised the officials to remain vigilant.
