Lahore: The management of University of the Punjab has once again postponed its annual 3-day book fair which was scheduled to begin from April 27, 2017.
According to the officials of the university, new date for the annual book fair would be announced later.

This is the second time the management of Punjab University has postponed the book fair, which was at first scheduled to be organized from April 6th, 2017 to April 8th, 2017.
Though, the management delayed the event because of the clashes between the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) and Pakhtun Education Development Movement (PEDM) aspirants groups.
On April 20th, 2017 the vice chancellor of university Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir announced the new dates of the annual book fair and it was again postponed on Monday.

As per the security officials of PU, the decision was taken because there were fears of another clash on the campus.
The official furthermore said that the management of Punjab University did not want to take risk of another mishap.
