Fellowships for Engineers, Scientists and Medical Doctors:

A fellowship for MS students at PIEAS and KINPOE-C is provided by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) and a few other government departments. Following are some key points of that fellowship:

• A monthly stipend of Rs. 35000/- (approx.) with tuition fee-waiver 
• Free indoor medical treatment.
• Fellow students must pledge a bond to serve PAEC/ Organizations/ Govt. Departments for five years after completion of their degree.
• Appointment after completion of studies in SPS-8.

Scholarship/ Funding from IT Endowment Fund:

There are also IT Endowment Fund scholarships for MS Computer Science/ Cyber Security Programs at PIEAS, following are some key points of IT Endowment scholarship:

• A monthly stipend of Rs. 28000/- for MS students and a monthly stipend of Rs. 35000/- for PhD students
• Free indoor medical treatment.
• Fellow students must pledge a bond to serve the country for 5 years after completion of their degree.

PIEAS BS Programs Eligibility Criteria:

• Minimum 60% are required for both Matriculation/ O-level (Science) and Intermediate/ A-level.
• Pre Engineering is mandatory for all BS Engineering subjects.
• Pre Medical students can also apply for BS Computer & Information Sciences and BS Physics program.
• Candidates with Pre-Medical background, who have taken Mathematics as additional subject, are also eligible to apply.
• Students awaiting their final result, but expecting to secure required percentage of marks can also apply.
• Selection shall be made strictly on merit determined by:

PIEAS Admission Test:        60%

Matric:                                   15%

FSc:                                       25%

O-Level/A-Level:                   40% of O-Level equivalence from IBCC

PIEAS MS Programs Eligibility Criteria:

• All students with Pakistan citizenship with the required qualification are eligible to apply.
• Preferably first class academic career. However, one second division (50% marks) is allowed except in the final degree. In case of semester system, a CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 in the final degree is required.
• Candidates having BS (4-year)/MSc in Computer Science, Geology must have studied Physics and Mathematics at undergraduate level.
• Candidates expecting completion of their degree requirements by the 31 December 2023 may also apply.
• There is no age limit for admission on regular fee basis. However, for fellowships the age limit is 32 years for MBBS Doctors and 27 years for all other disciplines as on June 30, 2023.
• Merit will be determined by PIEAS Admission Test and Interview.

PIEAS PhD Programs Eligibility Criteria:

• Formal education of 18 years (MS or equivalent) with minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 in the semester system or 1st division in the annual system and for 16 years education (BS or equivalent) having minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.0 in semester system or 1st division in annual system.
• Subject GRE (International) / GAT-Subject test conducted by NTS as per HEC requirements. If GAT subject is not available in a specific field, then student has to appear in PIEAS admission test.
• Those who hold HEC scholarships can apply.
• Serving applicants should submit an application via the appropriate channel with proof of employment from their employers.
• After passing the qualifying subject test, PhD candidates can apply at any time.
• After conducting a thorough interview with all eligible candidates, the final selection will be made.
• In IT-related fields, there are only a few PhD scholarships available from the Endowment Fund.

PIEAS Application Process:

• Candidates have to apply online. PIEAS will not accept any application through post or in hard form.
• First of all candidates have to create an applicant account on the official website of PIEAS.
• Provide the requested details to successfully create your applicant account.
• After that start filling out the PIEAS 2023 admissions form by choosing your preferred program.
• Upload the scanned copies of required documents.
• Generate the application processing fee challan.
• Candidates will have to submit the application processing fee of Rs. 3,500/- (within due date) or in case of late submission Rs. 4,000/- (within 2 weeks after the last date) in any branch of Askari Bank Limited.
• Upload the scanned copy of paid challan to your applicant account to successfully submit your application.      
• Admission Test will be conducted in major 18 cities of Pakistan
