Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered the University of Health Sciences to keep holding the result of MDCAT test till October 6th, 2017.

These instructions were passed on Wednesday by Justice Shahid Waheed on the petitions filed by Ayesha Bin Tariq as well as other applicants challenging MDCAT 2017 paper after accusations surfaced that the paper was leaked on social media before its commencement.

The Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Saeed on Wednesday appeared on behalf of the Government and argued that in two individual investigations, no substantial proof could be found telling that the paper was leaked.

“In this respect we are conducting the polygraphic test and soon the inquiries will finished,” he added and asked for the more time after which the stay was extended till October 06th, 2017.

The court also criticized the officials for not submitting the report prepared by the government of Punjab in this regard.

The petitioners had submitted that over 65 thousands aspirants appeared in MDCAT test 2017 conducted August 20th, 2017.

They alleged that the paper was leaked before the time and any result declared on this basis of this test will be an injustice to the deserving candidates.
