Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has granted free higher education to the children of the registered industrial and mines workers throughout the province.
The official statement points out that deserving students will be able to get admission in COMSATS University in Islamabad and its 7 sub-campuses that includes the location of Abbottabad, Wah Cantt, Attock, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Vehari.
This program will be funded by the Punjab government which means that all tuition fees will be paid.
The applications have already been accepted by the Punjab workers welfare fund under the orders of the chief minister. This benefit is also supposed to be given to children of the disabled workers or those who died.
The application deadline is depending on the campus: Islamabad (July 9), Lahore (July 17), Wah Cantt and Abbottabad (August 4), Vehari and Attock (August 11) and Sahiwal August (15).
