The Punjab Education Department has also made a statement on the further running of summer camps in schools clearing the view of the parents and students.

As it was stated in the announcement, it is absolutely free to go to the summer camps and no school can force the parents to bring their children or pay any financial contributions.

The department noted that summer camps are being arranged but this is not compulsory. Parents can make a decision of their own whether to send their children or not.

When parents choose not to do so no school can compel them to pay the camp fee or to send their children during the summer time.

Also, the department has fixed the time limit of these camps and they will take place between June 16 and July 15, 2025. These dates have been communicated to schools and they are expected to follow it and not find a way of creating further costs and responsibilities to parents beyond that period of time during which the summer camp will be operational.
