Karachi: Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Wednesday said that it is the right time to introduce the biometric system for the attendance of aspirants of secondary and higher secondary classes and also to introduce new subjects at college level in accordance with the requirements of 21st century..
According to the press release, the minister gave this statement while headed over the meeting of heads of different sectors of education department in Tughlaq House. Secretary Education Mumtaz Ali Shah, Special Secretary Zakir Hussain Shah, DG Colleges, DG private schools, director of colleges, officials of reform support unit as well as the representatives of other components also attended the meeting.

The education minister stressed upon the representatives of education department to improve the enrollment in schools, particularly of girl students as well as to arrest the dropout rate of the children from schools.
He commanded them to make a complete plan for adult learning together with the focus on skill development whereas the action should be taken against unregistered private schools.
He moreover instructed to get all educational institutions emptied from illegal occupants as well as mobilize the communities and involve them to upsurge the enrollment in schools.
