Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced that it will offer a special scholarship to its registered aspirants on obtaining 75 percent or more marks in their latest exams.
This scheme is targeted at promoting competition among the aspirants and to encourage the outstanding students.
The interested aspirants can download application form from the link available at the official website of the university and send it to the Director students’ advisory services at the main campus via regional offices.

The deadline for the submission of admission forms for all programs announced early for autumn semester, 2017 is September 28th, 2017 without late fee.
As per the Director Admissions, the vice chancellor of the university Prof. Dr Shahid Siddiqui wants to make sure that brilliant students should not be deprived of education.
Ultimately there are 9 scholarship schemes being offered by the varsity.
These scholarships schemes are:
o Earn to learn scheme
o Outreach Scholarship Scheme
o Final Year Project Grant Scheme
o Scholarship for Communities
o Scholarship for Women
o Fee Installment Scheme
o Alumni-Sponsored Scholarship
On the given orders of AIOU’s vice chancellor Rs 170 million has already been allocated in the annual budget for helping the deserving students.
The aspirants who fall in the set categories have been advised to contact the nearest Regional Campus of varsity for the help to avail the opportunity.

It is also important to mention here that Allama Iqbal Open University is also offering free education to disabled students, prisoners as well as drop-out girls, as a special case according to its policy of taking care of demoted sections of the society.
