The applicants of BS Media and Communication Studies are required to have Intermediate (FA, FSc, ICS, I.Com or equivalent) with a minimum mark of 45%-50% of a recognized board. Entry test or interview may be demanded to determine communication and analytical skills to grant admission to some universities.
This program is normally given admission in most universities after every one year, in most cases during the Fall session after the intermediate results. There can also be some privately-based institutions offering Spring intake opportunities to students who were not able to enter the regular admission cycle.
The admissions are usually done online on the official site of the university. Each applicant is required to provide his or her academic documents, complete the application form online, pay the admission fee, and attend an entry test or interview (when necessary). The last one selected is through merit lists posted in the university portal.
The graduates of BS Media and Communication Studies may be employed as journalists, news anchors, PR specialists, online marketing specialists, media planners, or content producers. It is also found that the degree is a pathway to advertising company, television, corporate communication and social media management.
