BS English Admission in Pakistan

Bachelors of Science in English (BS English) admissions happen every year just like any other degree program in the university. BS English admissions in Pakistan criteria is not that hard for any university. Different Universitites offer this program. The admissions take place every year in all the four provinces, where there is a University. It is usually seen that admissions take place in the month of September and October every year. The teaching system for BS English program is basically semester system.

BS English Admission Criteria of Punjab University

The Punjab University has set the following BS English admission 2026 criteria:

Eligibility & Distribution of Seats:

  1. 70% of the open merit seats (28) allocated for F.A./A-Level (Humanities Group) candidates.
  2. 30% of the open merit seats (12) allocated for F.Sc/A-Level (Science, Commerce Group) or Equivalent candidates.

Additional Marks:

  1. Candidates who have opted for English literature at F.A level as elective subject will get additional 20 marks.
  2. For candidates of A-Level who have studied English literature as elective subject: Their marks of English literature will be considered as subject marks. (They will not get additional 20 marks for studying English literature).
  3. For candidates of A-Level who belong to Science/Commerce group:Their marks of English Language in O-Level will be considered as ‘’subject marks’’, since English Language is not compulsory at A-Level.
  4. Hafiz-e-Quran: 20 Marks

BS English Admission Criteria of University of Central Punjab

The University of Central Punjab UCP has set the following BS English criteria which is as follows:

  1. There should be a minimum of 45% marks in FA/FSC/ICOM/ICS or at A-Level.
  2. There will be a written test before getting admitted into the BS English program in university. Those who pass the exam will get admitted into BS English program.
  3. An interview will be conducted right after the written paper.
