There is no single national BS Botany merit list. Each university or college publishes its own, usually in numbered rounds, and the cut-off differs by institution and by shift. This page shows where current lists are published, how merit is calculated, and what past closing merits looked like. For eligibility, see BS Botany eligibility criteria.
The table below is based on what we found published as of 15 October 2026. Always confirm on the official site, because lists change quickly.

Rounds of BS 4-year merit lists posted between 6 July and 6 August 2026, issued on behalf of Inter Part 1. We did not open the PDFs, so check that your college and program are covered. |
Older lists we track: Lahore College for Women University (2025), University of Sindh Jamshoro (2024) and GCU Faisalabad (2021).
Universities usually issue several lists in sequence. Seats are offered in the first list, and later lists fill places left vacant. The number of lists and the gaps between them vary:
Punjab government colleges (2026): the notice board shows a 1st list on 6 July, a 2nd on 15 July, and 3rd and 4th lists both dated 6 August.
KP colleges: a 4th BS Botany list appeared on 14 October 2026.
LCWU (2019, for reference): the Botany (regular) program ran six lists.
So there is no standard release date. Watch the university’s own notices, and don’t rely on a “usual” gap between lists.
Formulas differ by university and sometimes by year, so read your own admission advertisement.

Eligibility is separate from merit. For example, LCWU’s program page says female candidates need 60% in F.Sc (pre-medical) or equivalent to apply.
“Closing merit” is the lowest aggregate admitted in a list or program. The numbers below are from older published sources, with different scales, so don’t compare them directly.

What this tells you:
Closing merit differs enormously by university, from the high 40s to the low 90s in these sources.
Merit usually falls between lists, as in the LCWU example.
Self-supporting programs usually close lower than regular ones in this example.
Use past figures to plan, not to predict. Applicant numbers and seats change each year.
Download the list and check the program, shift and quota against your application.
Generate the fee challan from your admission portal, if the university uses one.
Pay within the deadline and keep the paid slip.
Upload or submit documents as instructed.
Note when the next list is due, in case you are waiting on a different choice.
Deadlines can be short. In a 2021 UVAS BS Botany notice, the list was dated 10 November, the fee deadline was 12 November, and the next list was set for 15 November. Check the fee in advance on our BS Botany fee structure page.
Several universities issue later lists, as the examples above show, but seats are not guaranteed. Check whether your university still has places in your program after each round, and apply to a backup option in the meantime. Compare options on our BS Botany universities page.
It depends on the university. In 2026, Punjab government colleges posted lists from early July to early August, while other institutions were still publishing in October. Check your university’s admission notices.
Open the university’s official admission site or portal, or its notice board, and look for your program and list number. Some portals let you search by application or roll number.
There is no single figure. Published sources show closing merits from the high 40s to the low 90s, depending on the university, year and scale.
Pay the fee and submit the documents before the deadline. Deadlines can be a few days.
Possibly. Many universities issue later lists, but there is no guarantee of seats.
No. Universities weight matric, intermediate and entry-test marks differently, and some add marks for a Hafiz-e-Quran.
