Myths are what we highly believe in; one of them is about the consumption of eggs. According to it, consuming eggs daily is supposed to accelerate your cholesterol and fat level. Thus, egg-lovers have been warned about not eating them regularly or else it can result in obesity. Most of such beliefs aren’t really true, same goes with this one. 0.7 mcg (micrograms) of folic acid or vitamin B9 is present in an egg that helps in the development of the embryonic child’s central nervous system. Deficiency of folic acid can result in the dislocation of cerebrum and spinal cord in the body of the unborn child. Hence, the consumption of eggs is necessary during pregnancy.

In taking eggs can slow down the ageing process and also prevent from the dangers of skin cancer, says a study conducted in a health center of Berlin. Dr. Karoline Hesterberg along with Professor Jürgen Lademann discovered the presence of carotenoids which are extremely effective in retarding the aging progression. Our body cannot produce carotenoids which we have to obtain through diet for the protection of our skin.

All those struggling to get slim should definitely include eggs in their diet. As eggs contain zero glycemic load, that is an estimate of how much a food can elevate someone’s glucose level in blood. High glucose level can make you feel hungry soon as it drops too quickly. Proteins contain lower glycemic level than starches, therefore eggs are perfect partners for loosing some weight.
