Pakistan is facing a difficult situation as coronavirus has crippled all the activities in the country. The state institutions are struggling to fight against the pandemic and the education sector is also affected by the severe consequences of the virus. On 13th March the government decided to close all the educational institutes of Pakistan due to the spread of the coronavirus. The decision was taken in the National Security Committee to close the institutes for three weeks. It was reported that educational institutes will remain close till 5th April and the Education Ministry would decide to extend the closure on 27th March.

Extension of Closure

Later on it, the education minister announced that further action will be taken by examining the ongoing situation of coronavirus. The closure then extends up to 31st May. It was decided that all the educational institutes will be open after 1st June and the postponed exams will also reschedule.

Circulation of Fake News

There were many fake news has also been circulating that stated that all the school, colleges will be opened and the matric and inter exam will be held according to the revised schedule in June.

The students were in the big confusion about the exams that either they will be held or not. But the final decision related to matric and intermediate board examination has been announced by the authorities.

The Final Decision for Matric and Intermediate Examination

National coordination committee was held and education minister Shafqat Mehmood announced that educational institutes will remain close until 15th July and board exam canceled until the end of this year. Previously the educational institutes have to remain close until 31st May and new the extension has been approved up to 15th July. He further added that the exams of matric and intermediate will not be held. The students will be directly promoted to the next classes based on their previous performance.

The government has declared the final decision regarding matric and inter-board examination. The students are now feeling stressed free as the exams are gone by. But the need of the hour is to understand the importance of time and everyone should utilize it effectively.
