Matric exams consist of 9th class and 10th class exams and their results. In total matric exams have 1100 marks and students can opt for Science, Humanities or Computer Science groups. On passing 9th class exams, students get promoted to 10th class. But this year, Covid-19 has changed things a lot. The Rawalpindi board too the 10th class exams first as usual. But after completion of 10th class exams, 9th class date sheet was announced but all the papers had to be cancelled due to the lockdown. But the good news is that BISE Rawalpindi Board, under the direction of education ministry, has promoted all 9th class students to 10th class. At the same time, 10th class student can expect their results in the first week of September according to the official announcement by Rawalpindi Board on their website. The confirm date is not announcing though.
