Admissions in masters of criminology starts in August/ September in most public universities. Admission start date and last date mentioned on official website of university or advertisement in newspaper. Students can apply online through the university web portal.
Students should have degree program of B.A with Sociology as an elective subject.
B.A / B.Sc. with any two of the following given elective subjects such as Economics, Political Science, Psychology/ Applied Psychology, History, Philosophy, Statistics, Geography, Education, Journalism, English Literature, Social Work, Islamic Studies, Home Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Health & Physical Education, Gender Studies.
B.Com (2 years)
Some universities take admission only on an open merit basis .Open merit depends upon bachelors CGPA. Students should have at least 3.0 CGPA out of 4.0 to get admission in any university. But some universities require a GAT test for admission in masters of criminology as well. Students must have a minimum 50 passing marks to get admission in any desired university.
Merit of MPhil or MSc criminology changes every year according to students gaining marks. Merit is calculated as given formula as well:
In most public universities, the merit of this department starts at 75% and ends at 65% each year.
University of Sargodha also provides the MPhil criminology degree program and the duration required to complete this degree is 2 years. Students are required to pass 4 semesters for the completion of this program as well.
Students should have 45% Marks in graduation BS/BSc/B.Com/LL.b or equivalent with age limit up to 40.
