01 Stenotypist (BPS-14) — Quota: Balochistan (02 Posts, Open Merit) 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Intermediate or equivalent; shorthand speed 80 w.p.m. and typing speed 40 w.p.m.; plus a 3-month certificate in computer operations (MS Office) Min. 18 / Max. 30 years (including 5 years general age relaxation)

General Instructions / Important Notes

a) Age, Qualification & Experience — Counted/examined as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

b) Selection Process — Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for an initial screening test (objective type), followed by a shorthand and typing test, before being called for interview.

c) Government Employees — Government Servants / Autonomous / Semi-Autonomous / Corporation employees must apply through proper channel.

d) Age Relaxation — In addition to the maximum age limit above, the following further relaxations are admissible:

  1. 5 years — Candidates belonging to Balochistan Province

  2. 15 years (or actual years served in the Armed Forces, whichever is less) — Released/retired Armed Forces personnel

  3. 10 years — Government servants with 2 years of continuous service on the closing date

  4. 10 years — Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)

  5. 5 years — Widow, son, or daughter of a deceased Govt. servant who died during service

  6. Any other relaxation admissible as per Govt. policy

Note: If entitled to relaxation under more than one category, only one category (most favorable) will be allowed.

e) Quotas — Calculated in accordance with Federal Govt. policy.

f) Result Awaited — Candidates with results awaited on the closing date are not eligible.

g) Service Rules — Posts governed by NAB Employees (Service) Rules, 2025.

h) Dual Nationality — Dual nationality holders are not eligible.

i) TA/DA — No TA/DA admissible for any test/interview.

j) One-Time Skill Exemption — Per Federal Govt. approval (Establishment Division O.M. No. 2/5/2026-BEFC/001, dated 22-10-2026):

For identified posts up to BS-16 requiring trainable skills (typing, shorthand, basic computer proficiency), a one-time relaxation of the requirement to possess the prescribed skill at initial appointment is allowed. If no candidate holds certification at selection, the selected candidate shall acquire the prescribed proficiency through departmental on-the-job training after joining, within the probation period. Proficiency will be assessed before confirmation; failure will be dealt with under applicable probation and service rules.
