The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is seeking applications from dynamic, proactive, and experienced professionals for the position of Senior Investigator / Enforcement Officer. Ideal candidates should possess expertise in competition law, regulatory frameworks, and strong skills in legal or economic analysis and enforcement.


?? Position Details

Job Title: Senior Investigator / Enforcement Officer

No. of Positions: 02

Maximum Age Limit: 45 years (general age relaxation of 5 years applicable as per rules)

Employment Type: Contract (02 years, extendable based on performance)


?? Minimum Qualification:

Required:

LLB or Master’s degree in one of the following fields:

Economics

Business Administration

Finance

Public Policy

Or equivalent from an HEC-recognized (local or foreign) university

Preference will be given to candidates with:

LLM

Bar-at-Law

PhD in a relevant discipline


?? Professional Experience:

Minimum 7 years of post-qualification professional experience

Preferred experience in:

Competition law and policy

Regulatory affairs

Legal/economic analysis

Market investigations

At least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role is required


?? Required Skills & Professional Competence:

In-depth understanding of competition law and economic principles

Proven ability to:

Interpret and apply complex legal/economic concepts within regulatory environments

Analyze market structures and corporate conduct

Identify and assess anti-competitive behavior

Lead investigations and enforcement actions under the Competition Act, 2010

Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills


?? Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise enforcement operations as per Competition Act, 2010

Conduct and manage investigations on:

Abuse of dominance

Cartelization

Bid rigging

Deceptive marketing practices

Review and guide preparation of inquiry reports and enforcement orders

Conduct market research and studies related to enforcement

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure effective enforcement outcomes

Stay updated with international best practices in competition enforcement and recommend improvements

Carry out additional tasks assigned by senior management to support CCP’s mission


?? General Terms & Conditions:

Appointment will be made on a contractual basis for two (02) years, extendable upon satisfactory performance

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews

No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the test/interview

Government employees must apply through proper channel with an NOC from their parent department
