The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) is an independent quasi-regulatory and quasi-judicial body dedicated to fostering competition across all sectors of the economy. In line with the Commission's objectives, CCP invites applications from qualified individuals with relevant experience for the following positions:


Open Positions:

1. Deputy Director (Cartels & Trade Abuse)

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s/Master's degree (or equivalent) in EconomicsBusiness AdministrationLaw, or Finance from a HEC-recognized institution.

    • 7 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree

    • 5 years of experience with a Master's degree

  • Preferred Experience/Skills:

    • Sound knowledge of Competition Law and a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and cartel investigations.

    • Ability to assist in the initiation, planning, and execution of investigations into suspected cartel activities, collusive practices, and abuse of dominance.

    • Proficiency in interpreting and applying competition law provisions in conjunction with economic principles to evaluate market behavior and business practices.

    • Expected to prepare investigation reportslegal briefs, and recommendations for action by the Commission.

  • Age Limit: 32 years


2. Assistant Director (Legal/Adjudication)

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Law from a HEC-recognized institution.

    • 3 years of experience in the legal field.

  • Preferred Experience/Skills:

    • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and vetting contractsMoUsagreements, and other legal documents.

    • Proficient in preparing legal documents such as complaintslegal opinions, and regulatory filings, as well as conducting thorough legal research.

    • Ability to liaise with internal departmentsexternal counselregulatory bodies, and government agencies on complex legal matters.

    • Capable of assisting in interpretation and implementation of relevant laws and regulations, and representing the Commission in legal proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.

  • Age Limit: 30 years


3. Assistant Director (Exemptions)

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in LawEconomics, or Finance from a HEC-recognized institution.

    • 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Preferred Experience/Skills:

    • Solid understanding of Competition Law and related regulations.

    • Ability to analyze exemption requests and conduct assessments.

    • Proficiency in maintaining and updating office records, case documentation, and evidence gathered from various sources.

    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, especially related to exemptions.

    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in regulatory bodies.

  • Age Limit: 30 years


4. Assistant Director (Office of Fair Trade)

  • Minimum Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in LawEconomics, or Finance from a HEC-recognized institution.

    • 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Preferred Experience/Skills:

    • Strong understanding of competition laws and economic principles.

    • Excellent analytical capabilities and communication skills.

    • Ability to interpret and apply complex legal and economic concepts.

    • Capable of analyzing market dynamics and assessing potential anti-competitive behavior.

    • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.

  • Age Limit: 30 years


Terms and Conditions:

  • The appointment will be on a contract basis for a period of two (02) years, which may be extended based on satisfactory performance or may lead to regularization.

  • Only candidates meeting the requisite qualification, experience, and age criteria will be considered for the interview.

  • General age relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit will be granted as per the applicable rules.

  • Government employees must apply through the proper channel after obtaining an NOC from their respective departments.

  • Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.

  • The selection process will be strictly based on merit, and any attempt to influence the process will result in immediate disqualification.

  • The Commission reserves the right to accept, reject, or postpone the appointment process as per applicable rules.
