The Ministry of Commerce is seeking qualified, highly motivated professionals to join its research team. The selected candidates will contribute directly to developing evidence-based trade policies and economic strategies aimed at enhancing Pakistan's global trade performance.

Vacancy Details

  • Position: Research Associate (Category-III)

  • Total Posts: 02

  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years (calculated as of the advertisement date)

  • Appointment Type: Contract basis, initially for a period of one (01) year (extendable based on performance evaluation)

  • Remuneration: Market-competitive salary package

Eligibility Criteria & Skill Requirements

1. Educational Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree: Master’s degree or equivalent (minimum 16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized institution in Economics, Public Policy, International Trade, International Development, or a related social sciences discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (03) years of relevant professional experience.

  • Publications: Must have at least one (01) publication in a reputable, peer-reviewed academic journal, book, book chapter, or official conference proceeding.

2. Core Technical Skills

  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in handling micro-datasets and executing complex data-cleaning protocols.

  • Software Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel techniques.

  • Communication: Exceptional analytical writing and report-drafting skills.

3. Desirable/Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity or working experience with data science and visualization software such as Power BI, Stata, Python, or R.
