TEMPORARY VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT

The National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF), a government-owned not-for-profit organization, provides grant financing for projects aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s resilience against climate-related and natural disasters. It also supports the government in enhancing its capacity to respond promptly to such events.

NDRMF is seeking applications for contingent staff (temporary basis) for the following Islamabad-based positions, available for an initial 6-month contract:

Terms and Conditions

1. Research Analyst – Project Preparation Facility

  • Qualification: Master’s or advanced degree in social sciences, public policy, administration, economics, finance, business, management, or project/program development.

  • Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the development sector. Strong analytical, data presentation, and communication skills required.

  • Age Limit: 18–35 years

2. Research Analyst – Climate Change

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, disaster management, economics, or social sciences.

  • Experience: Demonstrated research and analytical skills; experience in literature reviews and data analysis.

  • Age Limit: 18–35 years

3. Media Assistant

  • Qualification: 16 years of education in Mass Communication, Journalism, or related fields from a recognized institute. Fresh graduates with the required skillsets are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience: 2–3 years in graphic design using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Premiere Pro).

  • Age Limit: 18–35 years

4. GIS Developer/Modeling Expert – NatCat Data Center

  • Qualification: BS/MS in Geoinformatics, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years post-graduation and 3 years overall experience. Must have contributed to at least 5 notable national/international projects. Expertise in:

    • Developing user interfaces and dashboards using WebGIS technologies.

    • Working with JavaScript libraries (e.g., Node.js, Leaflet, OpenLayers), third-party mapping APIs (e.g., Google Maps API), and data visualization tools (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).

  • Age Limit: 18–35 years
