Appointment of Regular Legal Advisor

Educational Qualification & Experience:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the appointment of a Regular Legal Advisor for a period of 12 years at the Municipal Committee Chakwal.

  • Candidates must be graduates.

  • Must possess over five years of experience working as an Advocate in the High Court.

Honorarium:

A monthly honorarium of PKR 25,000 is allocated by the Government of Punjab.

Terms & Responsibilities:

  1. The Legal Advisor will be responsible for representing the Municipal Committee Chakwal in all civil and criminal cases filed by or against the committee in all courts.

  2. The Legal Advisor shall not represent any private party in cases:

    • Against the Municipal Committee Chakwal, or

    • Against the interests of the Municipal Committee Chakwal.

    • Nor shall the Legal Advisor provide legal advice to any party against the committee.

Application Instructions:

  • Eligible candidates must submit their applications by 2025-06-03 along with:

    • Certified copies of educational documents.

    • Standing certificate as an Advocate.

    • Other required credentials.

  • Applications received after the due date will not be considered.

  • The honorarium amount mentioned above may be revised at the time of appointment.

  • Applicants must also send a copy of the application along with certified documents to:
    Secretary, Government of Punjab, Department of Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Lahore.

The appointment of the Legal Advisor will be made under:

  • Punjab Local Government (Legal Advisor) Rules 2003

  • Punjab Local Government Ordinance 2022
