Positions Vacant

The University of Layyah invites applications from Punjab-domiciled Pakistani citizens for the following key administrative positions on a contract basis for three (03) years in accordance with the relevant sections of the University of Layyah Act, 2022.

1. Registrar

• Pay Scale: BS-19

• No. of Posts: 01

• Age Limit: 40 to 50 years

• Mode of Appointment: Contract (03 years) as per Section 22 of the UL Act 2022

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

Option A:

• Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institute/university

• Experience: 8 years post-qualification experience in BPS-17 or above (or equivalent) in teaching/administration/professional field in an HEC-recognized public/private institute or public sector organization

Option B:

• Qualification: MS/M.Phil or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institute/university

• Experience: 10 years post-qualification experience in BPS-17 or above (or equivalent) as described above

Option C:

• Qualification: Master’s degree or BS (4 years) – Second Division – from an HEC-recognized institute/university

• Experience: 12 years post-qualification experience in BPS-17 or above (or equivalent) as described above

2. Treasurer

• Pay Scale: BS-19

• No. of Posts: 01

• Age Limit: 40 to 50 years

• Mode of Appointment: Contract (03 years) as per Section 23 of the UL Act 2022

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

Option A:

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Auditing, or Economics from an HEC-recognized institute/university

• Experience: 8 years post-qualification experience in BPS-17 or above (or equivalent) in the relevant field

Option B:

• Qualification: MS/M.Phil in the relevant fields or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institute/university

• Experience: 10 years post-qualification experience in BPS-17 or above (or equivalent) in the relevant field

Option C:

• Qualification: MBA (Finance), M.Com, ACCA, ACMA, M.Sc., or BS (4 years – Second Division) in Economics or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institute/university

• Experience: 12 years post-qualification experience in BPS-17 or above (or equivalent) in the relevant field

3. Controller of Examinations

• Pay Scale: BS-19

• No. of Posts: 01

• Age Limit: 40 to 50 years

• Mode of Appointment: Contract (03 years) as per Section 24 of the UL Act 2022

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Same as for the Registrar position (detailed above under Registrar).

General Instructions:

1. Online Application:

2. Deadline (Online Submission):
   Last date to submit online applications is 26th April 2025

3. Hard Copy Submission:
   Five (05) sets of the Application Form, along with attested copies of:

   • Educational documents (degrees, transcripts, certificates)

   • Experience certificates

   • CNIC

   • Recent passport-sized photographs

   • Original paid fee voucher of Rs. 5000/-

   Must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar, University of Layyah on or before 29th April 2025

4. Shortlisting & Interview:
   Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. No TA/DA will be admissible.

5. Applicants in Government/Semi-Government Services:
   Must apply through proper channel. Advance copies will not be entertained.

6. Age Relaxation:
   Shall be granted as per Government policy.

7. Screening Test (if required):
   May be conducted through Education Testing Council (ETC) of HEC, Islamabad

8. University’s Right:
   The University reserves the right to cancel/withhold the recruitment for any position without assigning a reason. Such a decision is not challengeable in any court.

9. Incomplete or Late Applications:
   Will not be entertained.

10. University Decision:
    All decisions made by the University in this regard shall be final and binding.
