SITUATIONS VACANT

Project: Formulation of National Urban Strategy and Guidelines to Reduce the Impacts of Urban Flooding, Droughts, Climate Disasters, and Sustainable Spatial Planning Considering Climate Change in Pakistan

F. No. 1(22) Urban/Adaptation Fund

The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination invites applications from Pakistani Nationals to fill the following positions under the above-mentioned project. The appointments will be made purely on a contract basis for a period of ten (10) months.


1. Project Director (PPS-10)

No. of Posts: 01
Maximum Age: 50 Years

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (16 years education) in Urban & Regional Planning, City & Regional Planning, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field from an HEC-recognized university (local or foreign).

  • Higher qualification will be preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in reputable national/international organizations or UN system.

  • Experience working with Government, UN Programs, and international agencies.

  • Proven experience in leading urban strategy formulation, regional policies, and planning processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in introducing monitoring and evaluation systems.

  • Experience in program review, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Experience in climate change policy, UNFCCC, UN-Habitat or related frameworks will be preferred.


2. Deputy Director – Urban Planning (PPS-8)

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (16 years education) in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Sciences, or related field from HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in urban planning and policy analysis.

  • Experience in climate change modeling and sustainable urban development.

  • Ability to supervise technical teams and coordinate project activities.


3. Deputy Director – GIS (PPS-8)

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (16 years education) in Geography, Remote Sensing, GIS, Environmental Sciences, or related field from HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in GIS and spatial analysis.

  • Expertise in GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS), vector & raster analysis.

  • Experience in hydrological data management, rainfall modeling, geological and socio-economic data analysis.

  • Preparation and conceptualization of thematic maps related to environmental and climate change studies.

  • Strong report writing and communication skills (English).


4. Deputy Director – Admin & Finance (PPS-8)

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification:

  • MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent qualification from HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in Government or private sector.

  • Experience in project financial management and administration.

  • Preparation and presentation of monthly/quarterly financial progress reports.

  • Management of meetings, workshops, seminars and petty cash.

  • Maintenance of project accounts, verification of invoices, inventory management.

  • Knowledge of government financial rules and procurement procedures.


5. Assistant Director (IT/E-Governance) (PPS-7)

No. of Posts: 01
Maximum Age: 40 Years

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field from HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience.

  • Managing and implementing E-Governance components.

  • Server setup, network policies, password management.

  • Website development, activation, maintenance, and documentation.

  • Development of web-based applications for monitoring and reporting.

  • Ensuring data security, backup and recovery.

  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.


6. Office Assistant (PPS-5)

No. of Posts: 01
Maximum Age: 40 Years

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree from HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • At least 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.

  • Handling office correspondence, record keeping, and documentation.

  • Assisting in office management and administrative tasks.


7. Driver (PPS-2)

No. of Posts: 01

Qualification & Experience:

  • Valid driving license.

  • Relevant driving experience.

  • Knowledge of traffic rules and vehicle maintenance.


General Instructions:

  1. The positions are purely on a contract basis for ten (10) months.

  2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

  3. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.

  4. The Ministry reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment process at any stage.
