PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION UNIT (PIU)

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The Program Implementation Unit (PIU), Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Government of the Punjab, invites applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals for engagement on a contract basis under relevant government policies.

General Eligibility & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant professional experience in managing large-scale public sector, health, or development projects

  • Proven experience of working with government organizations, international donors, and development partners

  • Strong expertise in public policy management, project execution, compliance, and coordination

  • Experience in health sector organizations, medical education projects, or public health initiatives will be preferred

  • Ability to effectively liaise with government agencies, stakeholders, and partner organizations

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong management, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Proven capability in results-based management, monitoring, and reporting

  • Experience in designing, planning, and implementing development strategies

  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and official documentation

  • Strong analytical, report writing, and progress documentation skills

  • Ability to remain updated with government policies, procedures, and regulations

Specialized Experience (Position-Specific)

Depending on the position, candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Green building standards, compliance, and sustainable infrastructure

  • Behavior Change Communication (BCC) strategies and communication programs

  • Health communication, advocacy, and public awareness initiatives

  • Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Education

  • Establishment and management of simulation labs

  • Faculty development and training program implementation

  • Knowledge of global nursing education standards and programs

  • Coordination, stakeholder engagement, and proposal development

  • Basic knowledge of office administration and logistics, including vehicle maintenance (where applicable)

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as:

    • Public Health

    • Nursing

    • Biomedical Engineering

    • Health Education

    • Management or related fields

  • Higher qualifications will be considered an added advantage

Age Limit

  • Applicants must be below 50 years of age at the time of application

  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of Punjab rules (where relevant)

Terms & Conditions

  • Positions are offered on a contract basis under the Government of Punjab Contract Policy 2022

  • Salary package and benefits will be offered as per government-approved project scales

  • The Department reserves the right to:

    • Increase or decrease the number of positions

    • Cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason
