Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for appointment on a temporary basis (likely to become permanent) at the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR). Position: Principal Engineer (BS-19)

Number of Posts: 01
Field/Discipline: Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or relevant Engineering Discipline
Provincial Quota: Merit
Age Limit: Up to 45 years (including 5 years general age relaxation)

Qualification (Describe):

  • Doctorate Degree (Engineering) with 8 years post-qualification experience,
    OR

  • MS (Engineering) with 10 years post-qualification experience,
    OR

  • BS/B.E/B.Sc. (Engineering) with 12 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

  • Must possess valid PEC registration.

  • The degree must be obtained from a HEC-recognized institution/university.

Experience (Detail):

  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity programs, with 3–5 years of experience in a senior security leadership role.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing at least one of the following programs:

    • Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)

    • Security Operations Centre (SOC)

    • Security Testing

    • Digital Forensics

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, such as:

    • GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, DORA, and relevant local cybersecurity frameworks.

  4. The selected candidate may be posted to any PCSIR Laboratory or Unit in Pakistan.

  7. Five (05) years general age relaxation is already included in the age limit. Further relaxation will be given as per government rules.

  8. PCSIR recruitment rules and regulations shall apply.

  9. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

  10. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
