Contract-Based Career Opportunity (2026)

The Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), a premier scientific and industrial research organization in Pakistan, invites applications from talented and experienced Pakistani nationals for multiple contract-based positions at its Head Office, located on Constitution Avenue, Sector G-5/2, Islamabad.

This is a purely contractual engagement for a period of 01 year, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. PCSIR is seeking qualified professionals in the Civil and Electrical Engineering domains to contribute to its infrastructure and project execution initiatives. 2 Sub Engineer (Civil) 02 B.Tech or DAE in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 05 years of experience in supervising civil projects, multistory buildings, and infrastructure. Must be skilled in preparing cost estimates (Pak PWD Schedule/Non-Schedule), BOQs, tender documents, and scrutinizing contractor bills and MBs. Proficiency in Drawings, AutoCAD design, MS Project, and MS Office. 75,000/-
3 Quantity Surveyor (Civil) 01 B.Tech or DAE in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 05 years of experience specifically in scrutinizing building/infrastructure contractor bills, preparing estimates (Pak PWD Schedule), preparing/reviewing BOQs, tender documents, rate analysis, and variation statements. Expertise in Drawings, AutoCAD, CoST-X, Primavera, MS Project (or similar QS software), and MS Office. 75,000/-
4 Sub Engineer (Electrical) 01 B.Tech or DAE in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 05 years of experience in supervising electrical works for multistory buildings and infrastructure. Must have experience in O&M of Solar power grids, HT/LT lines/panels, Transformers, and Generators, plus estimating and bill scrutiny. Expertise in Drawings, AutoCAD design, MS Project (or relevant software), and MS Office. 75,000/-
5 AutoCAD Operator (Civil) 01 DAE in Civil Engineering or Architecture with a minimum of 05 years of experience in preparing 2D & 3D drawings for architecture, structural, public health, and electrical works related to buildings, infrastructure, and roads. High proficiency and expertise in AutoCAD and other related design software. 75,000/-

IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS (Eligibility & Rules)

  1. Contract Status: All positions are purely on a contract basis. There is absolutely no possibility of regularization or claim for a permanent position in the future.

  2. Academic Criteria: Candidates possessing higher qualifications and excellent academic careers will be given preference. Applicants with any 3rd Division in their academic career will not be considered.

  3. Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be applicable as per government/PCSIR rules.

  4. Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview. The Council reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or stop the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.

  5. Interview Requirements: Shortlisted candidates must bring their original testimonials, degrees, certificates, and CNIC at the time of the interview for verification.

  6. No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance or Daily Allowance will be paid to candidates for attending the test or interview.
