VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Members of Trade Dispute Resolution Commission

The Ministry of Commerce intends to appoint five (5) Members for the Trade Disputes Resolution Commission (TDRC) to carry out the functions as enunciated in the Trades Dispute Resolution Act (TDRA), 2022.

Positions Available:

  • Two (2) members from the Private Sector
  • Three (3) members from the Public Sector, including retired Government servants or in-service officers as per Section-9(2) of the Trade Dispute Resolution Act, 2022.

Tenure:

  • Three (3) Years, extendable for another three years based on satisfactory performance.

Age:

  • Minimum 45 Years and Maximum 62 Years at the time of appointment.

Qualification (as per TDR Act, 2022):

  • Masters Degree or sixteen (16) years of education from an HEC accredited University or Institute in International Trade, Economics, Accountancy, Tariffs and Trade, International Commerce, Business Law, Commercial Law, or any related field.

Experience (as per TDR Act, 2022):

  • At least Twenty (20) years of professional work experience in International Trade, Economics, Accountancy, Tariffs and Trade, International Commerce, Business Law, Commercial Law, or any related field.

Disqualifications (as per TDR Act, 2022): No person can be appointed or continue as a member or an employee of the Commission if such person: a) Has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude. b) Has been or is adjudged insolvent. c) Is incapable of discharging duties due to physical, psychological, or mental unfitness, as declared by a duly constituted medical board appointed by the concerned Division. d) Fails to disclose any conflict of interest within the time provided by or under this Act or any rules, regulations, or guidelines. e) Is guilty of misconduct. f) Ceases to be a citizen of Pakistan.

Terms & Conditions (as per TDR Act, 2022):

  • All members will be employed on a full-time basis with a salary and terms not less than MP-I pay scale, as prescribed by the applicable rules.
  • In-service officers selected through the competitive process must either resign from Government Service or seek early retirement before joining the Commission.
  • A Member shall cease to hold office upon reaching sixty-five years of age or the expiry of the term, whichever is earlier.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
  • Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will be rejected.
