VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL), a State-Owned Enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce, and the sole reinsurance company operating in Pakistan, is seeking applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role is for a dynamic, visionary, and results-oriented leader to drive the strategic direction and operations of PRCL.

1. Key Details

• Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

• Location: PRCL Head Office, Karachi

• Contract Type: Performance-based contract

• Tenure: 3 years (subject to performance evaluation)

• Age Limit: Maximum 62 years (as of the date of advertisement)

• Nationality: Pakistani citizens only (dual nationals are not eligible)

• Remuneration: Competitive market-based salary package

2. Minimum Qualification (Must meet at least one of the following):

• A 16-year (graduate) degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, or related discipline from an HEC-recognized university or equivalent foreign qualification

• Membership of a recognized professional accountancy body

• ACII/FCII qualification

• Fellowship or Associate status of:

  • Institute of Actuaries (UK)

  • Society of Actuaries (US)

  • Or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Society of Actuaries

• Master's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or Actuarial Sciences from an HEC-recognized university

3. Minimum Experience Required

A minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in any of the following areas:

• Corporate governance, business administration, finance, commerce, marketing, or other relevant field within a commercial organization

• As Chief Executive Officer or in a senior management position in a commercial/public sector organization

• As a department head or member of the governing body of a professional institute

? Note: At least 5 out of the 10 years must include experience as a Key Officer, Director, CEO, or Principal Officer in the insurance industry, or as an officer with the insurance regulator, as per the Insurance Companies (Sound and Prudent Management) Regulations, 2012

4. Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and growth of PRCL in accordance with government and board directives

• Ensure regulatory compliance and implementation of sound corporate governance practices

• Oversee financial, operational, and risk management functions

• Strengthen PRCL’s role in the national insurance/reinsurance market
