CHAIRMAN – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANIZATION OF PAKISTAN (IPO-P)

The Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-P) is a statutory autonomous body functioning under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce. It was established under the IPO-P Act, 2012 with the mandate to provide institutional arrangements within the state structure to comprehensively and exclusively handle matters relating to intellectual property rights (IPRs) in an integrated and effective manner.

The Ministry of Commerce invites applications from highly qualified, dynamic, and results-oriented professionals for the position of:

Position Title:

Chairman, Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-P)

Nature of Role:

This is a leadership position requiring a candidate with vision, integrity, and the capability to perform under challenging timelines. The role demands strategic thinking, policy development, and administrative acumen.

Qualification Requirements:

The candidate must be an eminent professional of known integrity and competence, holding a postgraduate degree in one of the following disciplines:

Law

Business

Engineering

Finance

Economics

Political Science

Experience Requirements:

The applicant must possess:

Minimum 18 years of progressive work experience in the relevant fields.

Demonstrated knowledge of corporate sector entities.

Proven experience in senior-level policy formulation, management, and strategy development.

Emoluments / Compensation:

Pay Scale: MP-1 Scale

Compensation: As per MP Scale Policy of the Government of Pakistan

Tenure of Appointment:

Term: Three (03) years (contractual basis)

Age Limit:

Maximum age: 62 years as of the closing date of the advertisement

Other Conditions:

Preference will be given to candidates possessing specialized qualification and experience in Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).

Only Pakistani citizens are eligible.

Dual nationals are not eligible.
