GUJRANWALA ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY – CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO), a leading public electric utility company, endeavoring to provide uninterrupted electric supply to more than 5 million valued consumers. The GEPCO Board of Directors is looking for professionals for the following C-level position.

POSITION: Chief Supply Chain Management Officer

The candidate shall be an exceptional and dynamic professional, with demonstrated capacity and potential to lead a Public Sector Company in a challenging environment. The candidate must possess strong abilities of leadership, team building, change management, and be proactive, fully conversant with the corporate environment, result-oriented with known integrity and proven track-record of credibility.

RESPONSIBILITY AND SKILLS

• The candidates shall report to the Chief Executive Officer / Board of Directors, GEPCO.

• The candidates must have the ability to nurture an environment of opportunity for optimum creativeness, sense of responsibility, accomplishment, and must demonstrate expertise to adopt National/International good practices required for turning around the Company.

• The candidate must have deep knowledge and required set of skills to deal with the economic, business, social, cultural, legislative, political, and regulatory environment in which the Company is required to operate.

• The candidate must have understanding and skills to ensure community relationship essential for the utility's growth.

• The candidate must be well familiar with the industry environment possessing sharp business acumen/skills and the best managerial practices related to National and International power utilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Broad knowledge & experience of supply chain and procurement practice, preferably related to the Power sector.

• The candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria as laid down under the Companies Act, 2017 and the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.

• Preference will be given to candidates having Power Sector Experience.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

REMUNERATION & TENURE

1. GEPCO offers market-based, competitive salary package commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate, as per GEPCO policy.

2. The contract shall initially be awarded for a period of three (03) years, extendable on the basis of satisfactory performance and organizational requirements.

OTHER CONDITIONS

1. The prospective candidate must be a Pakistani Citizen.

2. In case of any false/forged information provided in the application, GEPCO reserves the right to disqualify a candidate at any stage, and the costs incurred will be recovered from the applicant.

3. GEPCO reserves the right to withhold/cancel the whole recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.

4. No age relaxation shall be allowed.

5. Applicant with foreign academic qualifications must furnish HEC Equivalence certificate.

6. Candidate should apply only if the candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria.

7. Applications that are incomplete in any respect or received after the due date shall not be entertained, and no claim whatsoever in this regard shall be acceptable.

2. Candidates are required to send a copy of the online-filled application form through registered post/courier, clearly mentioning the "Post Applied For" on the envelope, at the address given below, along with the following documents:

   • i. Copies of degrees and testimonials, duly verified by the HEC or the relevant professional body/association, whichever is applicable.

   • ii. Detailed CV, along with two (02) recent passport-size photographs (white background).

   • iii. Attested copies of CNIC, Domicile, and relevant experience certificates/documents.

   • iv. A declaration on non-judicial stamp paper (value Rs. 100 or above) duly attested by an Oath Commissioner affirming, inter alia, that candidate is not ineligible for post of (name of post applied) in accordance with the provisions of the relevant law, rules, regulations etc. including but not limited to the Companies Act, 2017 and State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.

3. Candidates already working in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Public Organizations may also apply through the proper channel, along with a departmental NOC.

4. In case a Govt. Servant is selected through this competitive process, he/she shall either resign from his/her service or seek early retirement from his/her parent organization before joining GEPCO.

5. No candidate shall be appointed against the post on deputation or lien in any case.

7. Candidates will be required to produce/show all original documents, including experience certificates, at the time of interview.
