Appointment of Regular Legal Advisor

The Municipal Committee Chakwal is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the appointment of a regular legal advisor for a period of two years.


Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Law degree (LLB).

  • The candidate must have more than five years of experience practicing as an Advocate in the High Court.


Remuneration:

  • A monthly honorarium of PKR 25,000 will be provided, as fixed by the Government of Punjab.


Terms & Conditions:

  1. The Legal Advisor will represent the Municipal Committee Chakwal in all civil and criminal cases filed by or against the Committee in all relevant courts.

  2. The honorarium amount mentioned above may be revised at the time of appointment.

  3. The Legal Advisor shall not represent any private party in a case against the Municipal Committee Chakwal or in any case that is in conflict with the interests of the Committee.

  4. The Legal Advisor is also prohibited from offering legal advice to any party against the Municipal Committee Chakwal.


Application Process:

  • Interested candidates must submit their application along with attested copies of the following documents:

    • Law Degree (LLB)

    • Standing Certificate as Advocate

    • National Identity Card (CNIC)

  • Applications must be received by 03-08-2025.

  • Late applications will not be considered under any circumstances.


Additional Instructions:

  • A copy of the application, along with attested documents, must also be sent to:

    • Secretary, Government of Punjab, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department.


Legal Basis of Appointment:

The appointment of the Legal Advisor will be carried out under the provisions of:

  • Punjab Local Government (Legal Advisors) Rules, 2003

  • Punjab Local Government Act, 2022
