Irrigation Department Government of Pakistan is a managing division for carrying out agricultural activities throughout the province. Water supply is also a bigger problem in Sindh. Pakistan has one of the comprehensive irrigational system in the world which were established by ancient rulers and British viceroys. Irrigation Department, Sindh Branch is usually administrated by the provincial minister. Secretary is the principal director who reports to him. There are usually various management officers below him. This particular department works under specific law which was passed by the English Government in 1879. Later on, Pakistani authorities amended in 1996. Policies are also formed by this administration. It is accountable for the development of new projects. Information Science and Technology Department is also collaborating on it for different tasks.
