Job Announcement

Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Support Facility
A government of Sindh-owned, non-profit company registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. The company is seeking applications from eligible individuals for the following vacancy.

Position: Environmental Safeguards Officer

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum qualification in Environmental Management or related Environmental Sciences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and other relevant documentation.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on the status of environmental safeguards, conducting thorough reviews and analyses of ESMS to identify key issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address environmental concerns, ensuring that proper actions are recommended for arising issues.
  • Keep the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) informed about complaints and environmental safeguard issues.
  • Assist in identifying potential environmental risks and ensuring the implementation of appropriate management measures.
  • Provide technical assistance to the PPP Unit and government on ESMS-related matters.
  • Manage the environmental monitoring and action plans for PPP projects.
  • Ensure project documents meet environmental and social safeguard standards.
  • Handle project classification and necessary approvals in collaboration with CRO and relevant authorities.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in environmental impact assessments and climate change screenings.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and environmental policies.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Expertise in handling environmental safeguard management.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum 50 years.
