The Independent System & Market Operator (ISMO) of Pakistan is a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) established by the Government of Pakistan. ISMO envisions leading Pakistan toward a sustainable energy future.

The organization performs three core functions critical to the country’s energy sector:

  • System Operations

  • Long-Term Generation & Transmission Planning

  • Competitive Electricity Market Operations

To strengthen its senior and middle management team, ISMO invites applications from qualified, talented, and energetic professionals for the following Islamabad-based positions. 1. Executive Director (Planning)

Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering from a local or international university recognized by HEC, Pakistan.

Experience

  • At least 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience in local public/private or international organizations.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior management role or as Head of Department.

Additional Requirement

  • Candidates must comply with the Fit & Proper Criteria under Section 16 of the SOE Act 2023, without prejudice to other requirements mentioned in this advertisement.

2. Director (Transmission Operation Planning)

Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering from a local or international university recognized by HEC, Pakistan.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in local public/private or international organizations.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

    • PSSE software

    • Transmission planning tools

    • Power system studies including:

      • Power flow analysis

      • Short circuit analysis

      • Transient stability studies

3. Deputy Director (Legal)

Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Law from a local or international university recognized by HEC, Pakistan.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

4. Deputy Director (BPAR)

Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in:

    • Business Administration

    • Computer Sciences

    • Project Management
      (From an HEC-recognized university)

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
