JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Following vacancies are available in various constituent units of Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) which comprises Shalamar Hospital (SH), Shalamar Medical and Dental College (SMDC), Shalamar Nursing College & Shalamar School of Allied Health Sciences (SSAHS).

DIRECTOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION

MBBS with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or an equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognized institution is preferred, with at least 10 years' experience in translational research, research administration and industrial collaboration. The candidate must have competency in statistical analysis software (SAS, SPSS), and a strong understanding of research methodology, biostatistics, scientific writing and research ethics and have published research grants.

The incumbent will lead and promote the institution's research and innovation activities by mentoring faculty and postgraduate trainees, supporting research proposal development and grant writing, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance, conducting capacity-building workshops, fostering national and international research collaborations, and securing competitive research funding from government, industry, and other national and international funding agencies. The Director will also oversee grant management and contribute to strengthening the institution's research capacity and innovation ecosystem.

Qualification: MBBS

a) Eligibility Criteria: as per CSP guidelines.

b) Required Documents:

  • All educational documents including MBBS, Detailed Mark Certificates / Provisional & Attempt Certificates, House Job Certificates.
  • Training completion Certificate in General Medicine / Surgery
  • Valid PM&DC Registration and CNIC.
  • RTMC (General Medicine / Surgery)

Requirement for faculty appointments: Level III or Level IV qualification commensurate Pakistan Medical & Dental Council's approved criteria for appointment and promotion will be acceptable.
