The Ministry of Commerce invites applications from qualified, experienced professionals for multiple vacancies. Below are the details for each position, including required qualifications, experience, and other conditions:

1. Director (Textile) - Management Position (MP) Scale

Responsibilities:
Overseeing textile management and contributing to the development of government policies related to the textiles and apparel sector.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Textile Sciences, or Textile/Apparel Management from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in public and/or private sectors. OR
  • Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Textile Sciences, or Textile/Apparel Management with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

Age Limit:
Maximum age 62 years as of the closing date for applications.

2. Director (Technology)

Responsibilities:
Supervising technological advancements and innovation in textile, materials engineering, and management of the apparel sector.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Textile Engineering, Advanced Material Engineering, Textile/Apparel Technology, or Engineering Technology Innovation Management from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university with 5 years of relevant professional experience. OR
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in both public and private sectors.

Age Limit:
Maximum age 62 years as of the closing date.

3. Manager (Financial Analysis)

Responsibilities:
Financial management and analysis, contributing to financial decision-making processes within the textiles and apparel sector.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Finance, ACA/ACMA/CMA/MPA, CA, ACCA, or Banking & Finance from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university with 3 years of relevant professional experience. OR
  • Master’s degree in Finance, ACA/ACMA/CMA/MPA, CA, ACCA, or Banking & Finance with 5 years of experience in relevant fields.

Age Limit:
Maximum age 62 years as of the closing date.

4. Manager (Technology)

Responsibilities:
Managing technology and IT systems to ensure effective support for operations in the textile and apparel sector.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Sciences (CS) with 3 years of relevant experience. OR
  • Master’s degree in IT or CS with 5 years of relevant experience.

Age Limit:
Maximum age 62 years as of the closing date.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Recruitment will be conducted in line with the MP Scales Policy, 2020 by the Establishment Division (as amended from time to time).
  2. Initial appointments are on a contract basis for three (3) years, extendable annually for up to two (2) additional years based on performance.
  3. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, professional discipline, integrity, technical expertise, and leadership abilities.
