The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is seeking applications from qualified individuals for regular appointments to senior leadership positions.

Place of Posting Anywhere at HEC, including Regional Centres in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta.

Eligibility Criteria (Qualification & Experience)

Candidates must meet one of the following academic and professional tracks, alongside a mandatory administration requirement:

1. Academic Tracks

  • PhD Degree (18 years of education) with 13 years of relevant experience.

  • MPhil Degree (18 years of education) with 15 years of relevant experience.

  • Master's Degree (16 years of education) with 17 years of relevant experience.

2. Mandatory Experience & Conditions

  • Administrative Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in General / University Administration is strictly mandatory.

  • Grade Level: Experience must be in BPS-17 and above (or equivalent) within a Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector Organization, Autonomous Body, or Corporation.

  • Validity:

    • "Experience" only counts employment gained after obtaining the required degree.

    • Part-time, honorary, apprentice, and internship positions will not be counted as valid experience.

Terms & Selection Process

  • Interview Process: Only eligible candidates will be shortlisted.

  • Remote Interviews: For candidates living outside the Islamabad/Rawalpindi region, interviews can be conducted via audio/video conferencing at the nearest regional HEC office (Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, or Peshawar).

  • TA/DA: No TA/DA will be provided for tests or interviews.

  • Organization Rights: HEC reserves the right to reject any/all applications or adjust the number of vacancies without assigning a reason.
