SITUATION VACANT

CDA invites applications from eligible and suitable candidates for appointment to the following post on a merit-based contractual basis. Applications are invited online from candidates who meet the prescribed qualifications, experience, and age requirements specified below:

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE / OTHER CONDITIONS

Director General (Law)

Educational Qualification:

  • LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from a recognized university.

  • LL.M. from a foreign university shall be preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least seven (07) years' experience as an Advocate of the High Court.

  • Substantial experience in litigation as well as transactional and corporate legal work.

  • Candidates with in-house legal experience in a Government Department or public sector organization shall be given preference.

  • Substantial litigation experience before the High Court and other courts, with a minimum of two (2) reported judgments and appearances in at least thirty (30) cases before the High Court.

  • Experience in constitutional, commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment and/or public-sector litigation shall be an added advantage.

Skills Required:

  • Strong legal research, drafting, advisory, negotiation and case-management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a legal department, supervise external counsel, formulate litigation strategy, and provide strategic legal advice to senior management.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum Age Limit: 50 years

GENERAL INFORMATION / INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Age relaxation shall be applicable as per Government policy.

  2. CDA has the right to cancel the advertisement, or to increase / decrease the number of posts.

  3. The employees will be appointed on contract basis for an initial period of 02 years, will be extended further, if required, and having no vested right for regular appointment or extension.

  4. Only shortlisted candidates, who qualify as per the above criteria, will be called for written test / interviews.

  5. No TA/DA will be admissible.

  6. Candidates will be required to bring Original Documents (Educational and Experience certificates) and attested copies at the time of interview.

  7. Candidates already serving in Government sector organizations are required to submit NOC from the department along with the application.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY

  1. Online application along with scanned attested copies of educational documents, experience certificates, recent photograph, pay order, CNIC and domicile should be uploaded at https://cda.gov.pk/jobs/ within 20 days from the date of advertisement.

  2. All applications should be submitted online only and applications received through post/courier/mail will not be entertained.

  3. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

APPLICATION FEE

  • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 8,000/- for each post they apply for as a processing fee.

  • Without depositing the requisite fee, the application will not be entertained.

  • The fee must be submitted online using the PSID/QR code via any banking app, which will be generated upon successful submission of the application.
